Handbrake choppy video
I haven't gathered any MrMC debug logs as I am not blaming MrMC on the stuttering (as the source material plays out fine) but rather looking for a workaround for the encoded material. I guess there's no similar setting in MrMC that would fix the stuttering ?

I would do other things and ended up with choppy video. Deinterlacing is the process of converting source material that contains alternating half-pictures to a computer screen that displays a full picture at a time. Oddly enough, when I used the source gameplay video which was at a variable. So I decided to try to practice video editing by trying to edit some video game gameplay, I used Handbrake to encode with a constant framerate and used that for the editing but scrubbing and the viewer were extremely slow. Note that PowerDirector 17 did not do this to any of my recordings. Really choppy editing after Handbrake encode. It's not often, sometimes every couple of minutes for just a moment. The videos from both apps have stutters in the same spots but the stuttering doesn't exist when I play the disc in DVD Player.

Every single video - no matter what the original codec info is - always comes out like this. I've ripped a couple of videos using both Mac DVDRipper Pro and Handbrake to compare the output after I noticed some stuttering in my first rip. I tested the encoded material with Raspberry PI2 + kodi 15.2 aswell and the problem was reproducible but after enabling the playback setting 'Adjust display refresh rate' (in Kodi), the stuttering was gone. That program rules One bit of warning though, leave your computer alone while ripping. Despite being 1:1 identical, this video is blurry, choppy, laggy, blocky, and looks like its 30 FPS. However, after encoding the material with handbrake, the stuttering starts.Īs this is not a handbrake forum, I won't get into the encoding details but I can assure you that I've used hours trying to find the setting that would fix the issue.

Id like to request that non-Nitro users get a slightly better quality and streaming fps rate instead of having to pay to get better quality to talk to their friends. In short, I ripped a TV show (PAL DVD) with makemkv and the playback is flawless. Whenever I stream/screenshare to my friends (none of us have Nitro), the quality is extremely bad even though the default settings are 30 fps and 720p. I am facing a playback issue with APTV4/MrMC4.1.
